A man lives on the tenth floor of a hotel. Everyday to get to work, he goes down the elevator, gets into his car, and drives to work. When he comes home, he takes the elevator to the 8th floor and walks 2 flight of stairs to get to his room. Why doesn't he take the elevator all the way up?

*HINT* He doesn't need the exersize!

He's too short to reach the "10" button on the elevator. The "1" button is easy to reach being on the bottom, so he can go to the ground floor each day, but stretching as far as he can only lets him reach the button for the 8th floor once he gets home.

Because he can't reach the button that says "10", he can only reach to the button says "8" in the elevator.
