Did jesus really say this:
16. Jesus said, "Perhaps people think that I have come to cast peace
upon the world. They do not know that I have come to cast conflicts
upon the earth: fire, sword, war.

For there will be five in a house: there'll be three against two and
two against three, father against son and son against father, and they
will stand alone."

For this reason I say, if the owners of a house know that a thief is
coming, they will be on guard before the thief arrives and will not
let the thief break into their house (their domain) and steal their
possessions.

As for you, then, be on guard against the world. Prepare yourselves
with great strength, so the robbers can't find a way to get to you,
for the trouble you expect will come

30. Jesus said, "Where there are three deities, they are divine. Where
there are two or one, I am with that one."

33. Jesus said, "What you will hear in your ear, in the other ear
proclaim from your rooftops.

After all, no one lights a lamp and puts it under a basket, nor does
one put it in a hidden place. Rather, one puts it on a lampstand so
that all who come and go will see its light.

37. His disciples said, "When will you appear to us, and when will we
see you?"

Jesus said, "When you strip without being ashamed, and you take your
clothes and put them under your feet like little children and trample
then, then [you] will see the son of the living one and you will not
be afraid."

44. Jesus said, "Whoever blasphemes against the Father will be
forgiven, and whoever blasphemes against the son will be forgiven, but
whoever blasphemes against the holy spirit will not be forgiven,
either on earth or in heaven."

48. Jesus said, "If two make peace with each other in a single house,
they will say to the mountain, 'Move from here!' and it will move.

The Gospel of Thomas was not written when Jesus was alive or even close. Thus is unreliable and contains flaws. Here is why:

The content of the New Testament books lined up with what thousands of eyewitnesses had seen for themselves. When other books were written hundreds of years later (e.g. the Gospel of Judas, written by the Gnostic sect around 130-170 A.D., long after Judas' death), it wasn't difficult for the church to spot them as forgeries. The Gospel of Thomas, written around 140 A.D., is another example of a counterfeit writing erroneously bearing an apostles' name. These and other Gnostic gospels conflicted with the known teachings of Jesus and the Old Testament, and often contained numerous historical and geographical errors.

However the Gospels of the Bible are reliable (Matthew, Mark, Luke, John). Here is why:

Two of the gospels were written by the apostles Matthew and John, men who knew Jesus personally and traveled with him for over three years. The other two books were written by Mark and Luke, close associates of the apostles. These writers had direct access to the facts they were recording. The early church accepted the four gospels because they agreed with what was already common knowledge about Jesus' life.

Each of the four gospel writers made a very detailed account. As you would expect from multiple biographies of a real person, there is variation in the style but agreement in the facts. We know the authors were not simply making things up, because the gospels give specific geographical names and cultural details that have been confirmed by historians and archaeologists.

Jesus' recorded words leave out many topics the early church would have liked a statement on. This indicates that the biographers were honest, not putting words in Jesus' mouth to suit their own interests.

I don't remember Jesus saying "When you strip without being ashamed, and you take your
clothes and put them under your feet like little children and trample
then, then [you] will see the son of the living one and you will not
be afraid."
However he did say those other things. The Bible is complete, it is those statments that are not. Without the context you would never know what is going on. Try reading Matthew 23 and 24.

It appears that, as with anyone attempting to disrupt something, that you are listing one or two things that ARE in the Bible, and a bunch that are NOT. A little truth to make the BIG LIE more believable. Shame on you. It sounds as though most of your crap is from either the Qu'ran or JOVIES. YBIC

Well I"m sorry but I think its all B.S. If God is so loving why are we to put him before our own family? The Catholic church for years said that babies that were born and died went to Hell. Now they"ve changed their creed to say theygo to a spirit place much like the Mormons belief. Now if God in his divine wisdom says one thing how can man change "his" law? Consider the Mormons who were told by God through Joseph Smith that each man was to take more than one wife but then when the United States Goverment said it was illegal and prepared to march upon the Mormons it was decided to change Gods decree and to take only one wife? Should you obey Gods law or mans law?

you have to ask a priest for that matter; I havent read all the bible and dont know any of that.. however the bible its not so "complete"; some centuries after jesus there was a comite for making a full desition on what was to make it on the bible and what not..
those ones that didnt make it were because of their lack of reality or truth to sustain them; some other say that they didnt make it although they were true cause the possible missinterpretations such as jesus as a jew might have been married and maybe have kids, etc.
the bible its just a group of books that are not necessarily complete, specially cause the authors wrote everything on there with a huge difference on time or some are appreciations of rumors were they were not exactly there as witness, etc..
of course who ever has the bible as their book of faith will tell you different.

Some are quoted correctly, most are not. The one preceded with a 30. is the most atrocious misquote I have seen on this forum.

Addition: Oh, I see. Gnostic fabrications.

IF YOU DON'T OBEY= = WHAT HE ALREADY SAID, = = why then do you worry about what = = you DON'T KNOW?

(Luke 6:46) And why do you call Me [JESUS] Lord, Lord, and do not do what I say?

Thanks, RR
