You can try heating the back of the runner with a heat gun, set on low and watch what you are doing because most runners have glue in the backing and it will burn. Heat it up until it is freely pliable and flat. If by the time you get from one end to the other it starts curling again try weighing it down from the end you start with.

There is actually tape especially made for carpets called "Carpet Tape" and is available at your local Home Depot, Lowe's or Hardware store.

This tape is incredibly strong and will hold your runner in place perfectly! Simply edge the underside of your runner, lay it in to place and it won't slip with even the highest traffic.

Give it a try.

I have used double sided tape to keep my runners and also kithen rugs in place. I would test out the double sided tape on your current flooring in a test area, so that you know how if the tape will cause any damage to your carpet or floor covering before anything else.

Sorry, I've tried everything. They just keep moving. I've tried matts and even a tacky liner that is cut to fit on the back of the rug. Nothing seems to work. I'm thinking of tacking it down with small finishiing nails. Good Luck

at a local discount place they sell matts that you can place under your rungs to keep them firmly on the ground and they will not move out of place.

try nailing it down...i know it sounds stupid but that's what we did for ours to prevent damage to the corners because they were curling up too...or you could try stapling.
