ok, i was sitting down, and al of a sudden my upper lip starts to hurt, a little. moments later i have a huge blister on my lip. it took literally about 10 seconds to form. it looks like someone punched my upper lip. i am not sick at all, and i do not have any std's, what is this? it seems to come out of nowhere. i am perfectly healthy. it looks so bad! help please

Did you eat anything before this happened? Apples or other fruits/vegetables? Or possibly a snack food?
My friend gets this on her lip when she eats apples. It may be caused by the chemicals used to preserve the produce, or the produce itself.
Personally, I get those bumps on my lower lip from snacks with MSG, as well as many fruits/vegetables.

It's probably herpes simplex 1. They have over the counter treatments for this like Abreva. Also, if you use meth these will appear more often. If it's really bad, you may need a prescription for Valtrex.
