talk badly about Catholics when saying they don't know Jesus or profess the name of Jesus enough and yet when in conversation with a Catholic all the Protestant ever does is belittle the Catholic's faith, talk ill of his/her body of Christ the Church and speak little of Jesus Christ themselves

SmartAleck you make a valid point however you also know I do not have enough space on here to list all the dominations within Protestantism.

Servant condescending? no but sarcastic, yeah you can call me that. Heck look at the screen name I use it's a pun on badly formed bible teachers. Servant when you enter into conversation with people like Thomas who claim biblical understanding and always speak or write in a matter-of-fact form while quoting bible text rarely in context maybe you'll start to understand my personal style as not condescending but humorous, correcting, and informative. This forces the other person to use their brain alittle bit more be less condescending themselves and begin to develop a respect for Catholic Christians which they've not been taught to have. You know as a Catholic I've been called a zombie yet when I debate anti-catholics they are the ones coming across as zombies paste and cutting from anti-catholic websites and usually getting all uptight when me the Catholic responses showing how foolish they are, how hatefully they've been taught and how condescending they've been.

Servant part 2: As I recall you didn't allow that question to go to a vote hmmmmm?
Instead of parapharsing why don't you direct people to the question with a link in your sources section so they can decide what is condesending and what isn't
Here's the entire paragraph you eluded to:
Why not be honest and admit you aren't looking for answers because you enjoy the rose colored glasses you already wear, whether they be baptist, presbyterian, evangelical protestant or any of the other 1000s of denominations which make up Protestantism and wear the glasses of their community.
It is rarely about what the 'bible says' and more to do with the bibilcal interpretative tradition you hold to. Yes you have traditions too and the sooner you admit to them the more honest you'll be

They feel inferior and jealous since they know well that Jesus founded the Catholic church and their church was founded by some disgruntled guy with an ax to grind.

A true Christian should never belittle other believers, but when Catholics and Protestants start to talk many things can come out awkward. it is really like two different faiths depending on the Protestants Church and roman catholic or Eastern. there are many layers to each and the people arguing need to look at both sides and see where they are coming from.

interestingly enough, as i was raised Lutheran, i totally disagree with what you are saying. while i have noticed that some branches of Protestant faith are very much in the mind set that their way is the only way, and are hugely critical of everyone that is outside of their particular sect of Christianity, i never found this so with the Lutherans that i knew.
I have, however, noticed that many Catholics (not all) that i have met are somewhat uninformed about the differences in the Protestant sects (such as Lutheran, Baptist, Adventist, Evangelical, etc...), and lump them all into one group, judging them all the same way... Just as many people (not all) of non-Christian faiths tend to believe that all Christians are the same, and judge them based on the behavior of Evangelicals...
hmmmm. maybe everyone of ALL faiths should work on being less judgmental to start with...

Do you mean in a condescending way like:
you just don't get it
Or maybe you mean in a way to pump themselves up like repeating their own name a few times:
Pastor Billy says blah blah blah
Or maybe you mean when they assume to know you and want to tell you how they should do things:
Your in the wrong Bible study, your pastor doesn't know what he is talking about
Or maybe you mean when they just feel like putting you down:
enjoy those rose colored glasses you have on b/c I know all about you and you are just one of 1000s of denominations and you obviously dont know much about anything
Any of that sound familiar Pastor Billy - i'm sure you've said those things to many people not just myself
maybe we need to try a little harder at being humble and not so demeaning toward people we really dont know
I guess you need to feel right so you can go on being mean to people - you can post it if you want to and let them vote - doesnt bother me
btw sarcasm is very hard to pull off without tone of voice and body language without that you just sound angry

Have you noticed that the catholis teach the message of the anit-christ and promote it as holy. That they teach against the instruction of God. That they promote praying to past sanits over praying to God who alone answers prayers. That they promote praying to a different mary then the mary in the bible mary was a sinner as all men are. Could it be that the catholics are just a cult. As 99 percent of what they practice it witchcraft and unholy and against the word of God. Just as there priesthood is against God and his word. You know the truth will set you free and millions of people have already left the catholc church because of the great sin of the priesthood and because of the many pedoifles that the catholic priesthood are protecting. Because if all the priest and bishops and popes all knew and did nothing but cover it up, then it proves how debased they are and that they do not love the membes of the church. And this has been going on for 50 plus years. So chose today whom you will serve God or the catholic church.

Both Protestants and Catholics throw ugly invectives at one another. Neither of them has a monopoly on being judgemental. How Christ-like, huh? Whoops, let me take that back. Beachman made a good and valid point.

Yes here a little something I got from a Friend
Wisdom From The Ancestors
So live your life that the fear of death can never enter your heart.
Trouble no one about their religion; respect others in their view, and
demand that they respect yours. Love your life, perfect your life,
beautify all things in your life.
Seek to make your life long and its purpose in the service of your people.
Prepare a noble death song for the day when you go over the great
divide. Always give a word or a sign of salute when meeting or passing
a friend, even a stranger, when in a lonely place. Show respect to all
people and grovel to none.
When you arise in the morning give thanks for the food and for the joy of
living. If you see no reason for giving thanks, the fault lies only in
yourself.
Abuse no one and no thing, for abuse turns the wise ones to fools and robs the spirit of its vision.
When it comes your time to die, be not like those whose hearts are filled
with the fear of death, so that when their time comes they weep and
pray for a little more time to live their lives over again in a
different way. Sing your death song and die like a hero going home.

Protestants were borne out of the catholic church wanting to rule religion.
There has always been friction between the two.

I know that Catholics know Christ and what He did for us, I used to be Catholic myself. Now if I am having a debate/discussion with a Catholic and we both acknowledge Christ, then we can debate the other differences.
