The package says-Phenylketonurics:contains phenylalanine--what is this substance and why is it required to be posted in bold letters.?? Is it poisenous or cancerous or harmful???

Yes it is a derivative of aspartame, calling this stuff poison doesn't even begin to describe it. Look up the side effects of aspartame and you will see for yourself.
