20 months is a long time. Assuming this is not a medical needs condition you can always try to titrate the dosage (number of pills per day) downward until you no longer require the drug. Failing that you should seek medical assistance to get of the drug.

You may need to go to rehab. I was only able to cure my pill addiction after I got pregnant. I just stopped taking them b/c I know they're bad for the baby. The withdrawels are horrible though.
