When I was holding my kitten, I notice there is a strange sound coming from its body.. like an engine sound and it's non-stop.

Is this normal?

Hi there...perhaps what you are hearing is your kitten purring. Cats purr when they are content or happy and it's quite normal. Here's a sound clip of what purring sounds like: http://www.caslis.com/devices/nokia7610/mp3rings/cat_purr.mp3

That sounds pretty normal to me! Haha. When my cats were kittens they would sleep in the cabiet drawers in the kitchen and to this day they will use the litter box while I'm going to the bathroom.

It's called purring.... do you know anything about cats? Purring is generally the sound of being happy/content. Actually know one really knows why they do that...but it seems to be what they do when happy etc.
