I'm just looking for opinions and more points of view. My choices are business, computer science, or information science. I can't really decide between them because I may want to get a management position at some point, so then the business minor may come in handy. But I might try to go for an MBA at some point, so a business minor could be redundant. Then I also know computer science would be useful in many areas for an electrical & computer engineer, as would information science. I don't specifically know if I want to get into research or eventually go into management at some point in my life, I'm only 19. I need some other input. I don't expect anyone to specifically tell me which to pick, I just need other people who know engineering to give input as opposed to my dad, who doesn't really know anything about engineering. To him, an electrical engineer almost == electrician. Also, I know I'm making too big a deal about a minor, which probably won't even matter.

I minored in Drafting Tech. That way I know all the programs needed to put my engineering down on paper i.e. AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.

A minor can help a lot once you find a job, just figure out what would help you the most to know on a daily bases.

Like architect type studies or a minor in computer sciences since you'll be using them a lot. If you plan to run your own business one day a minor in business would me nice.

Just use it to help you with your long term plans in life.

Also if you have any other interests you've always been interesting in this is your chance to learn more, like Art even though it won't help in your work life it will in your personal life if that's something you'd like to do.

Try to see where you will be working after you graduate. If an electric utility, take some courses in environmental management or mechanical design.

If you are going to work for the family business, then take some business management courses.

CPR---- Joking. As a 19 year old, you apparently have no idea what it takes to be a manager. Managers are selected by a corporation when they feel you can do something to increase their profits, not just because you want to be one! You think they just ask the question, "Who wants to be a manager?"! I do, I do!
Anyway, good luck.

I minored in literature and really enjoyed it. Most people really don't care about your minor. They're usually looking for a particular skill in your major especially if you have experience.
