My son will be 3 feb.11 and his father doesn't have anything to do with him and my husband now wants to adopt him im curious has anyone done this if so how long it takes and the process and about how much money.. thanks

When I did this, it took about two months from the time the ex signed the paper giving up his parental rights until it was finalized in front of the judge. Best thing I ever did!

your ex having nothing to do with your son and him completely signing away his parental rights are two seperate things. For you husband to become your sons legally adoptive parent you must first get your ex to formally and legally give up all of his legal rights over the child through a solicitor or the courts
