as cliche as it is it takes time. and it would probably be easier for you not to see her, as hard as that would be. hang out with other people. stay busy. and try not to think about it.

Been to the same situation. Getting over someone may take 3 days, 3 weeks, 3 months or even 3 yrs. All depends on how you manage. Face your problem! If she talks to you, just answer her. Act as if you're ok even when you're not. But be very vigilant of her ways and your emotions. Move with the flow. go on with what the situation will bring to you. Go out and date, date, and date. Sooner or later you'll find yourself totally forgetting her and no longer bitter.
My effective advise: find someone else (try a knew friend-girl)
all the best!

Depends. But if you were truly in love it takes a long time. There is no particular amount of time it's different for different people. It also depends on how you broke up. To me it seems like it will take you several months to completely heal.
I say cry you eyes out for one night only (everyone needs to get those cries out) then don't call her, go see her, talk about her, erase her from your phone, remove pictures and just keep yourself busy. If your alone you'll have no choice but to eventually think of her, but if your out with friends having fun, you wont think about her as much.
You'll know your over her when you realize that you havent thought about her in days. Because when your heart is broken you tend to think about the person who broke it alot. So when she's out of you mind, your over her.

It will take a while considering that you two still talk to each other. If you two did not have contact with each other, you may get over her faster. How long it takes depends on you. If you need to stay away from her for a while, let her know. Talk to her and tell her the truth. If she is really your friend, she'll understand what you have to do.

Sometimes it takes a really long time to get over someone. The longer you're in a relationship, the longer it takes to get over her. Just give yourself more time. What I do is I think about all the bad stuff someone had put me thru and that helps me to get so angry at the person that I forget all about 'em.

Sorry to say but the best way is to cut ALL ties to her until you are over the split. It takes time - there is no set amount of time since it is different for everyone. Just take your time and do it one day at a tiime. It is always easier for the one that asks for the break to just be friends - don't give her that power.

you cant make someone want you.. the best way to get over her may be to stop talking to her and get on with your new life.. in time you will get over her.

Keep your mind occupied and don't think about her. Hang out with other friends or in a different crowd.
