► Jan's Story Why She Loves Islam
Sister Jan is an English Revert to Islam. She explains why she loves Islam so much. She converted from Christianity, "my friends say you were a Good Christian, why have you sold out?, almost is what they would imply.. my answer to that is well i didnt know about the Prophet (Muhammad ) so its been enriching of my faith" ..........

..........."It was only in the 1960s (in England), when we (women) could open a bank account without having our husband sign the bank cheque. Islamic Women have always had those rights. If i stick to what the Quran says to me, and what the message is, it is very clear to me, that i have total equality. Just do what it says, and nobody can argue with me on that."..............

This short film follows her journey to beginning to wear the Hijab and learning more about Islam. May Allah help her and make it easy for her.

Womens rights in Islam
According to "The Almanac Book of Facts", the population increased 137% within the past decade, Christianity increased 46%, while Islam increased 235%.

In a recent poll in the (US), 100,000 people per year in America alone, are converting to Islam. For every 1 male convert to Islam, 4 females convert to Islam, Why?

It is Clear why Christians are converting.

1. Christian Scientists are declaring the Koran is from God. Visit Here for Christian and atheist Scientists who convert to Islam and why: http://wings.buffalo.edu/sa/muslim/library/jesus-say/ch13.html

2. The Christian Bishops and Priests are admitting the Bible has tensions. http://wings.buffalo.edu/sa/muslim/library/jesus-say/ch2.1.html

3. Jesus is a Muslim: http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Agora/4229/jam.html

The question still remains, why are more women converting than men to Islam ?
Perhaps they realize their Soul is worth the Factual Research.

1. The Bible Convicts Women as the original
Sinners, (ie. Eve picking from the forbidden
tree){Genesis 2:4-3:24}. The Koran Clarifies it
was Adam Not Eve {Qur'an 7:19-25}

2. The Bible says "The Birth of a Daughter is a
loss" {Ecclesiasticus 22:3}. The Qur'an says both
are an Equal Blessing { Qur'an 42:49}

3. The Bible Forbids Women from Speaking in
church {I Corinthians 14:34-35}. The Qur'an says
Women Can argue with the Prophet {58:1}

4. In the Bible, divorced Women are Labeled as
an Adulteress, while men are not {Matthew 5:31-32}. The
Koran does Not have Biblical double standards
{ Qur'an 30:21}

5. In The Bible, Widows and Sisters do Not
Inherit Any Property or Wealth, Only men
do{Numbers 27:1-11}The Koran Abolished this
male greediness { Qur'an 4:22} and God Protects
All.

6. The Bible Allows Multiple Wives{I Kings 11:3}
In The Koran, God limits the number to 4 only
under certain situations (with the Wife's
permission)and Prefers you Marry Only One
Wife{ Qur'an 4:3} The Koran gives the Woman
the Right to Choose who to Marry.

7. "If a man happens to meet a virgin who is not
pledged to be married and rapes her and they are
discovered, he shall pay the girl's father fifty
shekels of silver. He must marry the girl, for he
has violated her. He can never divorce her as long
as he lives" {Deuteronomy 22:28-30}

One must ask a simple question here, who is
really punished, the man who raped the woman or
the woman who was raped? According to the
Bible, you have to spend the Rest of Your Life
with the man who Raped You.

The Prophet Muhammad Says {Volume 9, Book
86, Number 101} Narrated by Aisha:" It is
essential to have the consent of a virgin (for the
marriage)".

Would the Christian men Reading this prefer the
Women they know to Be Christian or Muslim?

8. The Bible also asks Women to wear veils as in
Islam {I Corinthians 11:3-10}, this lowers the
chance of rape, (God Forbid), see statistic link
below.

9. Women were given rights to Vote less than a
100 years ago in the (US), while the Quran (42:38) gave
Women Voting rights almost 1,500 years ago.

10. Islam has unconfined Women and has given them
the human right to reach for the sky. There have been
Muslim Women Presidents through out the centuries,
but to this date, the oppressive mentality of the
men in the Western U.S.A. has stopped any Women from becoming
Presidents in predominately Christian countries,
while the Muslim countries have voted for and
elected Female Presidents.

Here is a list of previous Female Muslim leaders:

Khadija bint Khuwaylid
Aishah bint Abu Bakr
Fatimah bint Muhammad
Barakah
Ramlah bint Abu Sufyan
Rumaysa bint Milhan
Umm Salamah
Asma bint Abu Bakr
Zaynab al-Ghazali
Maryum Jameelah

I think your question is too broad. It's not the religion itself but the way this matter it's handled by a certain denomination/culture/group, etc., inside a certain religion. For instance women are not allowed to drive in Saudi Arabia, but have no problem doing so in Jordan.
Some Christian denominations forbid women to be pastors, others don't.
And I don't know why religion is the one who should give rights to women, they (should) have it independently.

There appears to be a big gap between what is (supposedly) stated in a holy book and what is preached or what is going on in real life.
In this sense the "book" which gives all women and for that matter all human beings rights is the Constitution of a democratic state.

Men aren’t “supposed” to seek out advice on how to get women or ask their friends how do I get a girl. We don’t sit around analyzing each other’s relationships. Still, picking up beautiful women is a skill that anyone can learn with enough time, practice, and access to the right resources. Read here https://tr.im/jWzah
There is a ton of stuff ( to help you get started. Sometimes the techniques go against “conventional wisdom” or what seems to work in movies and romance novels. Push yourself out of your comfort zone and try them – they DO work and they are a huge advantage over the competition.

If Islam gives women more rights, then why the honor killings? Why are women to blame for a mans short-comings example: a rape victim in an Islamic country is doubly, punished for what the man did by being stoned or killed some other way, along with being the perpetrator's victim.

I find that this idea that Islam gives women rights highly hypocritical, when in one instance your book gives women rights yet, in another it holds her accountable for other people's sins.

The whole religion is an oxymoron at best. You cannot claim to hold women in the utmost respect then turn around and treat her like an animal if she falls out of the Islamic norm -- this is not equality, this is gender bigotry hidden under saccahrine verbiage.

followed strictly by what is mentioned in Quran, I would say Islam, especially if you consider the rights women had back then.
problem is that in many countries, practice is quite different from theory and islamic laws are interpreted at whim.

thanks for posting those wonderful links about the difference between judaism and sionism in the question about jews and arabs. it did improve my opinion about Israel and its people!

I hit your link but did not know which film you wanted people to view. And to answer your question...

Judaism, Christianity and Islam do not afford women equal rights. Yes, they talk a good story about women being equal but the practical, day to day existence of women speaks to a very different story. No. The ONLY religion that treats women equally, both in the religion itself and in the temporal, secular world is either Paganism or Wicca. The reason for this is the recognition of the Feminine Divine. None of the monotheistic religious constructs contain this. Instead, they speak of women as being "chattel."

A young girl along with her little sister is attacked by 3 MEN wanting to rape them. The older girl picks up a knife and stabs one to protect her and her sister. The police come along and who gets arrested? The girl gets arrested, tried and sentenced to be hanged. Was this a Christian or Islam state?

Christianity!! Muslum's just want to cover their women up!! And my gosh if they get raped, they become a disgrace to their own families, and have to be "BEHEADED!!!" What kind of religion kills a woman for being hurt, by someone else's SIN, for crying out loud!!! They now have to be completely covered even their eyes have to be vailed because probably the women dont want to be the next victim, and their probably the one's who decided to veil, their own selves, because of the evil ways the men run things Religiously speaking!! I would hate to be a women in their country!!! And the one's that practise that religion here, are all phonies, the American way, is so different from the muslum way, over there!! so, who are they kidding??? My sister pretends to be a Muslum, over here, and I cant stand the sight of her "GET-Up!!" And phony ways, she's a hypocrite!! She goes and gambles in that GET-Up!! She has Adult Bedroom parties!! IN her GET-UP!!! And if I was too carry a bible into a casino, and sit down at a slot machine, it would be the same thing , if you ask me!! And if she did over there , what she does here, in America!! She'd probably not be alive!! I love my sister, dont get me wrong, but I dont have to like her!!!
