Heaven and I am so thankful to Christ my Lord.

it doesn't scare me in the least. Not because I don't believe in God but because I do. I believe in a loving God who would never torment someone FOREVER for sins he/she committed during their very limited lifespan. Also the fact is that the Greek/Hebrew words for "hell", Hades and Sheol, actually merely represent man's common grave. The truth about what happens to us when we die can be found at Ecclesiastes Chapter 9. The truths in that scripture are often ignored in favor of church doctrine.

There is no afterlife. The idea of eternal punishment or reward is preposterous. When you die, it won't matter because your consciousness will cease to exist.

A rhetorical question for the sake of perspective: Were you impatient and annoyed waiting for thousands of years to be conceived?

Once you confront yourself with the truth and stop clinging to the false promise of religion, you will feel much better about yourself.

Knowing the truth that there is no heaven and no hell, no afterlife, no gods to fear, no devil to scare us, makes me feel totally at peace with myself. Most atheists no longer fear death for they know that with the cessation of life, there is no pain, remorse, punishment, reward, feeling, or anything to distract us from being just plain dead.

Heaven or hell actually existing is such a remote minuscule possibility, that I am neither excited about heaven or afraid of hell.

I don't give it much thought, really. What scares me is the increasing illiteracy developing in people's writing.
