All religions should get together and procalim a 'peace on earth' day - denying their politicians. All religions should walk hand in hand and denounce all form of violence. Stuff the terrorists, stuff the politicians - power to the people - or am I only dreaming

Getting everyone on the planet to denounce all forms of violence and walk hand in hand may be too tall an order at this point in time, but that doesn't mean that you shouldn't work toward that goal. Many people of a great diversity of faiths and philosophies are joining together every single day through Interfaith Alliance and other ecumenical organizations to show that your hope is not only a dream. Our Humanist community regularly works with the local Islamic center, local churches, synagogues, the Quakers, and Wiccan circles on community projects, such as collecting supplies for a battered women's shelter. People are making it work. It's happening right now. Don't wait for the whole world to join in. Be an example of what's possible.

As far as I know, there are no Wiccan politicians - or terrorists for that matter. You really aren't talking about all religions with your suggestion, and I'm not sure what our support would gain for you besides people screaming of Devil worship and ignoring your "peace on Earth" day.

Unfortunately, there's quite a few religions that are based on violence so I highly doubt they'd denounce it. So yes, you are dreaming.

What you describe is impossible. What _is_ possible, however, is all _people_ getting together - especially after abandoning the religions that shackle them.
It will happen one day.
