When i moved in with my boyfriend i had a male cockerspaniel and he had 2 male minature pinchers and 1 female min pin. It went ok for the first couple of months, with my cockerspaniel as the dominant dog, that didnt work so well. He wouldnt let the other dogs play with any of the toys and he started growling at them. So i took my vets advice and changed the dominance to our biggest min pin. He eats first, gets treats first, goes outside and comes back in first. We acknowledge him first as well. My cockerspaniel gets along with all the other dogs except for my big min pin(spanky) Spanky wont play with the toys now. Also, my cocker growls at him all the time, and here recently they've been attacking each other. My cocker attacks the most. It started out with a little tussel every once in awhile, and now its everyday to twice a day and its gotten alot worse. Theyre always bleeding and limping after wards now. They are fixed and we've tried everything. What else can we do to stop this.

Priority make sure they are all neutered. Once howmones settle down they will also. If one is not altered there is going to be a battle.

After all are altered give it about six months to calm down.

Im sure your vet suggested this.

Your cocker spaniel is probably confused and upset. He went from being the only dog to being at the bottom of the chain. To avoid further confortations, maybe you should let the female be alpha. That way there's no favoritism among the males and hopefully if the cocker spaniel sees the female as alpha, there won't be fights among the males.

Before you resort to getting rid of one of them, I recommend going to a dog trainer or behaviorist. They might be able to help the fight for dominance between the 2.
In the meantime, it might be a good idea to temporarily separate them. Is there someone you know that can take one of them for a little while? Or maybe get a baby gate and separate them in different rooms.

Good luck!

I have to say, you have too many males. You may have to give some away maybe to family so you will know that they are OK.The fights are not a good sign.Aren't you afraid that they may pack attack your dog to his death?Check your options someone may need to go live with family....

you probably have to separate them....i know this is hard, but if you want both dogs to live, then you must get rid of one of them. i am so sorry.
