how jr. high! I tried that when I was in 7th grade,...didn't work but my hair smelled good! haha!

If I remember correctly, you use conditioner....then add the kool aid...mix it then apply...I think you leave it on for 45 minutes then rinse.

"Do you want streaks or over all color? The basic instructions are the same for both. The difference is that streaks should be separated from the rest of the hair by wrapping in foil.

Bleaching is relatively simple. Buy a bleach kit from the store. You want a kit that specifically states bleaching. A blonding kit will not be enough. Mix the ingredients according to the directions in the box and apply to hair in a well-ventilated room. Put on a shower cap and wait the recommended amount of time. At this point, check the hair to see how much it has bleached out. If not enough, put the cap back on and wait another ten minutes. Keep checking your hair until it had turned a yellowish white color. Then go rise the bleach completely out. Do not use the conditioner that comes with the kit. This will close off your hair to the color.

Next you need to mix up the Kool Aid. Choose a color you like, the brighter the better. Mix two packets of unsweetened mix with a double quarter sized amount of conditioner. I cannot stress enough that this must be unsweetened Kool Aid. If you use the sugar-added type, your hair will be a mess. If you haven't bleached your hair first, go wet it. Put on a pair of gloves and apply the Kool Aid to your hair. If this is not enough to thickly coat the hair, mix up some more and continue. Wrap your head in plastic wrap and leave it. Leave it as long as you can stand it, all day if you can. The longer you leave it, the better the color will adhere to the hair.

Over time, the color will fade out. If you want it out quicker, toothpaste will speed up this process, but if you bleached the hair or you have really light hair normally, it will not remove the color totally."

My boyfriend and I use these... this is a much better and easier idea... these are only $10 a bottle and you get more color options... I like the atomic turquoise! :)

you may't do blonde without intense raise shade or bleach. Kool-help is used as a non everlasting shade on already bleached or blonde hair. in common words the former style non sweetened style. even as the hair is blonde you may take kool-help of any vibrant shade and make a paste with in common words a touch water and make colourful streaks or total head shade which will properly be shampooed out later for different shade alterations. Kool-help has no lasting chemical value on hair in common words non everlasting. On darker hair it gained't take position a lot only a contact of shade. continuously relies upon what shade the kool-help paste is going over as to how a lot you'll see...the lighter the more effective perfect.

i've never done this, but i would assume that you'd need pale blond hair in order to get the pink to show up. if you have relatively light hair, then you'll probably just need to boil some water, dissolve the kool-aid in it, and then soak your hair in it for a while after it cools a little, but is still warm. you may not get the results you're looking for though. if you want a better method, buy some manic panic haircolor (you can find it at sally beauty supply, but you'll have to bleach you hair first in order for it to show up) or n rage mix'n go haircolor (which is supposed to lift and deposit color in one step, but i would recommend having somewaht light hair if you choose to do this.)

Dont do the coolaid thing! It makes your hair sticky and gross and the color isnt even bright or pretty! If you want funky colored hair, bleach your hair untill it is super blonde. Then get Manic Panic hair colour in the shade you want and go for it! Its much better for your hair and it looks great!

Just put the cool-aid in hot water and let your hair soak in it.

If your hair is dark, it won't really show, and if it is light, you can stain it and make it really hard to have normal hair again.

I suggest buying the temporary hairdye in the color you want, and using that instead. Manic Panic makes every single color you can think of.
