When i told my ex girlfriend i needed to feel special and wanted each day, she laughed and said she spoke to her sister about this and said its pathetic. Is that what is supposed to happen in a relationship? I used to tell her every day how lovely she looked or how special she was. Buying her flowers every week, but she said that dont bother her at all.

Hang in there! There are plenty of women (myself included) that would love to be treated that way. It should go both ways. She should make you feel special (not laugh at you) and she should be willing to accept your love. You are right, that is what is supposed to happen in a relationship. Dont accept less. I did and spent 18 years miserable. If you show the woman that you love how much she means to you then if she is the right one for you she will return those feelings...do not give up

Well, she deserves to be an ex girlfriend that's for sure. There's no point in being in a relationship if you're treated like you're just a friend. Your significant other should make you feel wanted, and cared about. If they don't, there's really no point in being a couple...

You don't deserve to be in a relationship like that & she doesn't deserve to have a good guy like you. If the relationship means a lot to you, try talking to your girl and letting her know that it hurts you. But if she continues to call you pathetic, you should end it with her.
You deserve to be with someone who thinks you are special the way you do them.

She shouldn't have laughed at you, she should have given you what you wanted. I treat my boyfriend like a God and I tell him he looks good everyday, I cook him dinner, I do anything he asks me to do and he does th e same. We help eachother out and we are there for eachother. We make eachother feel special and wanted. That's how it's supposed to be
