The goal is one but the paths are many - the problem does not lie there but in the claim of some that theirs is the only true path and while doing so they give importance to the path and forget the goal. This is evident from their acts which are contrary to the teachings that they claim to follow.

The nature, substance and essence of god is not within the grasp of any one religion, That is why each has his own understanding. Instead of accepting their limitations ( though claims to humility are made ) each claims to Know the UNKNOWN.

God is one. He sent many saint on this earth to help us to know the path to realise god at different times in different places and even today he is doing that. After their death we misunderstood their teachings and followed a new religion, ritual which resulting in development of so many religion. But at the core of every religion there is same path to realise god. Compare yourself.

Hope this will help you

If I understand your question correctly, you want to know why there are so many religions in the world?

The answer to that is this: There are so many religions because there was disappointment with the early original church, the church that Jesus died for, and someone said they didn't want to follow the teaching the apostles had received from Jesus, so they went off and made their church, then someone didn't like that one, so they went off and made their church, and so on and so on and so on, until there are now so many religious entities, that everyone is confused, and no one knows which is the correct one.

The correct church is the one that you can find in the Bible, the one that Jesus bled on the cross and died for, the church that bears His name, which is called the Church of Christ (Romans 16:15-16). If you are a part of any other church that you cannot find in the New Testament, you should get out of it, NOW!

many religions point to the inner nature of man seeking God. God is a relationship, not a religion.

according to the requirement in the world god has taken a form and lived with us doing service to the mankind thriving the evil when ever it has increased and hence by the time we have discovered him he vanished of we have thrived him
hence he has many forms and remembered after his vanish every time
but god is with us in some form or the other
this is the truth
but at the end every body accepts
but we do not accept as we need self experience but it is always late

1. New theories appear over time.

2. Old theories mutate and evolve into different ones.

That fact that it's all a load of unsubstantiated tosh helps to increase the variety of religions on offer.

Since gods are a creation of man's imagination, it's no wonder there are so many religions. I expect if you get right down to it, no two people (outside of atheists) who have the same conception of what constitutes a god or gods.

You have mistaken

God is one
Religion is one which is Islam(submission to God)

Every Prophet(Peace Be Upon Them) taught us to worship the only God.

But the evil imams, the evil leaders, the evil churches try to change the words and create their own

God promised that He will take care of Quran and keep it unchange until the end of the world.

► The Trinity, in fact, was established by councils which convened in the fourth century more than three hundred years after Jesus. Emperor Constantine wanted a religion that appealed to him personally. He promoted Jesus from the rank of a prophet to the rank of a god!! Thus Jesus became God by decree and the Holy Spirit became God by another decree! They made a compromise: "God is one" to please monotheists and "God is three" to please polytheists. The final output was "three in one" to please no one and displease no one. A religion by voting!! A vague god: ONE if you want him one. and THREE if you want him three, and ONE IN THREE if you wish or THREE IN ONE if you prefer it
