Good shampoos don't lather! Lather is made by an agent that is VERY drying to hair. That's why you will find that more expensive shampoos don't have much of a lather at all.

Sounds like you have a build-up of some kind in your hair. You need to buy a clairifying shampoo. The best one is Nexxus Kelate. Shampoo your hair twice with this and your hair will be clean and be able to lather nicely. The Nexxus Kelate shampoo cleanses the hair internally (inside the hair strand) and externally (outside the hair strand). It is a thourough cleanse and it feels so good because it has peppermint in it!

#1 just because it doesn't lather like you THINK it sould doesn't mean its not working. #2 It also depends on what type of shampoo you are using. Salon shampoo (Redken, Matrix, Nexxus) usually doesn't lather up like you're wanting it to. It's a better product for your hair other than drugstore shampoos. Drugstore shampoos are bad for your hair and they will make it seem "heavy" or "weighed down".

sounds to me like you have build up. do you use a lot of products? well, get a clarifying shampoo, lather it up in your hands first, then, lather it in your hair, do it a couple times each time, like wash your hair like 3 times each shower, it really should help

PLEASE..... dont resort to harsh shapoo's It's most likely your water! I made this same mistake a couple of years ago and bought clarifing shampoos and my hair is still not the same! If soap in your kitcken and other areas don't lather good then it's hard water!

What kind of shampoo do you use? Try using a shampoo meant for oily hair. A clarifying shampoo may help too.

How often do you wash your hair?
Do this: wash your hair once, then rinse, wash your hair twice, then rinse, wash your hair a 3rd time, then rinse--you should start to notice your hair getting more lathered up each time =)
Hope I helped!

maybe the water you use is too hard. very hard water doesn't make too much foam whike you're using shampoo.
