It seems like losing weight is so hard. I am sick of starving myself. But I still cannot lose weight. I had a baby 2 years ago and now I cannot lose weight. I was 135 lbs before I was pregnant and now I am 155 and cannot get back down to 135. I would like to be 120 though.

Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

Calories!

The reason that fat is bad is that it contains 9 calories per gram.
The reason that carbs CAN be be is that they contain 4 calories per gram with very little nutrition if they are overly refined.

If you only want to count one thing, it would be calories. Your best bet is to work on your diet from the whole picture. Carbs (fiber-dense carbs - think fruit, vegetables, and whole grains) should be 50-55% of your diet, protein 15-20%, and fat 30% of your calorie intake of the day. Healthy fat is Olive Oils, Fish oils (filled with Omega-3 fatty acid - the new buzz product for heart health), and nuts. Stay away from Trans Fat like the plague.

Good luck!

Calories and carbs are both bad. But They are also good, your body needs a certain amount of calories for energy, and carbs also give energy. I suggest eating lots a fruit with natural sugars because thats good, and eating wheat bread and stuff. You can cut back on calories but make sure you dont cut back too much.

well. i think it's mainly about calories. it's a matter of how many calories you take in versus how many you burn. of course you need to eat the right kinds of each...calories, fat, and carbs. just eat whole grains ....brown rice, etc, lots of fruits and veggies, and lots of chicken. weight watchers is a good way to keep track without have to count your actual calories
