If you don't know what you're doing, buy one just for safety's sake plus your battery won't hold a charge for very long.

It might be simple but it won't be cheap as you will want some big transistors. Taking 16 Amps from your battery is serious power. If you have to ask for a circuit you probably aren't up to building it but here it is anyway.
