Hi, organising a 30th birthday for beginning of March and am looking for a place to stay for around 50 people. In the countryside, near a pub, woods, water etc. No tents but caravans or YHA would be fine, anyone recommend anything? Norfolk/suffolk/within 2 hours of Essex or nearer.
Thanks for your help.

This place sounds nice. It certainly has the bedroom capacity set in 7 acres and you might get a discount for a large party of people.

info:
Situated in the heartland of south-west Norfolk, this comfortable hotel is set in 7 acres of woodland - perfect base for walking and exploring the forest of Thetford and for visiting Norwich and Cambridge. Excellent restaurant and splendid bar.

The Youth Hostel Association http://www.yha.org.uk/ has a 'Rent a Hostel' scheme called 'Escape to'. The scheme allows you to hire the entire hostel (if the hostel is taking part in the scheme). Visit http://www.escape-to.co.uk/ for more details.

Also take a look at Smooth Hound Systems http://www.smoothhound.co.uk/ as I have seen self catered accomodation being advertised on thie directory. However, I don't know whether they can handle 50 people.

You will also find some useful sites if you do a UK Google search on 'East Anglia Tourist Board'.
