What do the Levels mean? Such as level 4 or level 6 and so on? Does that mean brighter and lighter or dark? Please help me with what the levels mean..... coolbeans40@earthlink.net

the levels when dealing with haircolor range from 1 to 10, with one being the darkest black, and 10 being the lighest blonde.

This is just a suggestion because i dyed my own hair with a dark brown one time and it almost turned out black. My hairstylest told me to wash my hair with liquid detergent (such as dawn) and use a really good moisterizing conditioner. Alot of times when it turns out too dark she told me that your hair has build up on it from the shampoo and conditioner u use. It will make ur hair feel a little brass but it helped mine out when i used it. It will fade and u can use regular shampoo agian

Usually level 1 is temporary and level 3 is most permanent. I've never heard of 4 and 6. Maybe that is referring to the color?

Levels are how many shades it will lighten. I believe there are 7 ranging from black to palest blonde. What color are you using? and what color is your hair? Email me so I can help you before you mess up!

if it has pics next 2 it, look at the pics, but if it doesn't have pics next 2 it, read the whole thing..............
or, just forget the levels, read the whole thing, & put the hair color in.........
& also, the color of the women's hair on the front of the box is the color ur supposed 2 get! on the side, it shows ur hair color & how much or what u hav 2 use 2 get the color on the front....

they levels tell you how intense your color will be. look on the back of the box and match your natural hair color to the shade on the back....then to the left it'll show you what your color will turn out to be.
