You can get a subaru impreza for under 5k.
Mitsubishi Evolution for 5 - 10k.
Both are cool motors, but will cost you a fortune to run and insure, so you'd better pick up girls who don't mind sacrificing being wined, dined & pampered for riding around in a 'cool' car!!
Good luck!

If you really want to buy a car to attract women, then you need to be more specific about the type of woman you want to attract, but any woman who is attracted to a guy purely on the basis of what he drives is't likely to be the deepest person in the world, and likely as not will leave you for the first guy with the flashier motor. Also with no idea of your age o no claims status it's a little hard to advise but here goes...
If you want a fun car to drive with a bit of style there are plenty of used MX5's out there in both price ranges. For something with a bit more oompf £14k would get you a tidy Honda S2000, a real Boxter Basher, 'though they can be a bit tail-happy in slippery conditions - hit a patch of diesel and you could be climbing trees backwards! For more practical and economic sense Seat's range of FR Diesels are a hoot - my mum got the Ibiza when she decided her Impreza Turbo was a bit too much for a 65yo and I drive it as often as I get the chance.

It depends on what can afford in running costs each month. For great kudos I would suggest a Subaru 2.0ltr Sport 4 door - the GX model. Not the turbo driven WRX, which would be too expensive to run. You can pick these up for around £7000 - 10000 but do not buy from ebay or similar non-qualified source. They are great to drive fast enough but not too expensive to insure and I can guarantee the girls will love it. They are just fantastic head turners.

For 5-10k I would keep saving! (although you can pick up a decent Z3 for that kind of money) and for 10-15K I would buy a used 3 series convertible!)
One thing i would advise is not to buy anything japanese go German for that kind of cash! and do not buy anything modified! the only thing that will be getting pulled then is you and your "thrashed to death car"

My company car was upgraded to one, and at first I wasnt happy, but the yellow 6 gear turbo diesel engine kicks! Great handling, acceleration and economy. Dont know what they're like to insure though, but that wasnt your question ;-)

You really need answers from lasses. Maybe "fanny Magnet" wasn't the best choice of title.
