17 years is nothing in the scheme of things :) Don't worry about what other people think.

I think loada people will be against. But dont listen to waht they say. Listen to your heart. Hey look at katie holmes and Tom cruise. Honestly i wouldnt mind. I feel you are doing the right thing. Just ask her on how she feels. 25 i mean thats a reasonable age for a proper relationship. On the other hand i have admired your affair. Age should never seperate people After all females get matured faster than males.

She probably likes the fact that you are mature and have it together compared to men in their 20's or even 30's. The only real concern is down the road when you are 70 and she is 53 then she may dump you for a guy in the 50's. Be careful and make sure that she isnt looking for a sugar daddy.

OK so what do you want to know?
If you both have feelings for each other, fine.
If your using her as a "bit on the side", then you are playing with fire!
Is she using you?
I think you are seeking approval of the age gap between you?
Do the two families know?
You can't expect opinions from people who are not in possession of the full facts!

Age doesn't matter but maturity does. I think that when you are considered a senior citizen in about 8 years, she'll only be 33 and that could cause serious problems. I have heard of relationships working with an age gap such as yours. I married a man that was 14 years older than me, it didn't work. He wanted to "daddy" me and I didn't need another one. He was controlling. He became insecure because of my age.

So long as she's a mature 25 that's not a problem. Age is just a number and if you're both happy go for it.

My husband is 19 years older than me and we have been together for 13 years (married for 7 of them) and I don't feel that there is an age gap between us.

I say if you both like each other then who cares what age you both are.
Love does not have an age limit on it, i should know my boyfriend is 15 years older than me and i could not care less what anyone else thinks because he makes me smile and that's all that matters.
