I'm feeling rather uninspired - I always put the same fillings into bagels and am getting bored. Can I have some new ideas from people (ingredients that are readily available)

Shrimp Salad Bagels INGREDIENTS 1 (3 ounce) package cream cheese, softened 3 tablespoons mayonnaise 1 tablespoon lemon juice 1/2 teaspoon dill weed 1 (6 ounce) can small shrimp, rinsed and drained 2 bagels, split and toasted 1/4 cup shredded Swiss cheese DIRECTIONS In a bowl, combine cream cheese, mayonnaise, lemon juice and dill. Stir in the shrimp; spread over bagels. Microwave, uncovered, on high for 1-1/2 to 2 minutes or broil 4 in. from the heat until hot and bubbly. Sprinkle with Swiss cheese. Or make chicken salad, egg salad and put on bagels. We even make some ham and cheese sandwiches on bagels. Or make mini pizzas with plain bagels instead of english muffins.

I was going to suggest smoked salmon and cream cheese-but I see others have beat me to it!
You can put anything you like in a bagel-I'm quite fond of chicken, bacon, and avocado with a bit of mayonnaise.
Creamy stilton and red onion is very nice on a seeded bagel!

Here's a great idea you can do for dinner. Make plenty to have leftovers the next morning, too. Just use bagels instead of crusty rolls as the recipe states. Yum-o. http://www.foodnetwork.com/food/recipes/recipe/0,,FOOD_9936_32823,00.html?rsrc=search

You could even leave out the chicken and it is still good (and quicker).

Work with me here - it's sounds awful but is actually rather delicious.

Mayo, cucumber, cheese, marmite on a toasted bagel - yum.
