Agree. From what I have read on satanism....satanists are about self indulgence and earthly pleasures.....everything the human desires. They believe it makes no sense to deny what brings you pleasure. Christians believe that anything you take pleasure from is most likely a sin.
I, myself, am an agnostic....but I like reading about other religions.
Edit: And I take it reading about other religions is bad? Otherwise I wouldn't be getting thumbs down. Whoever bestowed the thumbs down on me.....you are pathetic.

Sure it is if you only read the bits of the Bible that seemingly support what you just wrote. If you take the whole of the Bible, in context of to whom it was written/what the purpose of the writings were for/when it was written......you just can't come to that conclusion. Slavery to self is much more burdensome than the freedom Christ offers.
Re: examples of Christians.......I can TOTALLY see why you would feel how you do, HOWEVER----if you take into account that Christians are people and flawed people at that just like YOU are....and if you are honest about the ways YOU screw up.....then you would have to admit that you are no better than someone who calls him/herself a Christian. Life is just hard, whichever way you believe. Christians, true ones....would never say pleasure is unGodly, because everything good comes from God. Being a slave to pleasure is a totally different thing.
My advice would be to research research research. With an OPEN mind, esp. when it comes to the view you obviously don't agree with, lol. ;) Lee Strobel's books and website are a great place to start--informative w/out all the drippy, sappy, typical Christian goofiness. If you truly want to find the Truth, you WILL find it.

I agree with this, to my personal philosophy (atheist) i see the story told as rather dubious even if i don't beleive it to have actually happened.
So, Man is in Eden, and they have no self awareness. no knowledge of themselves or the world. What good is this? Man isn't even moral, or good. How can you be good when there's no other choice but good, there is no choice. And what about not questioning, it is questioning and searching that has led us out of the dirt and to greatness since the first time we chipped out a wheel and wondered what we could do with it.
What kind of parent wishes to keep his children blind or deaf, never hearing music for the chance they might hear a flat chord? And then Lucifer, Lightbringer came and asked them to take the step towards self awareness, perhaps knowing that he would be cast out and damned for it. But he did it anyway, isn't that a sacrifice, a love for us? Newsflash: the difference between treachery and patriotism is a matter or spin and point of view
For those saying that it made us strive to be as God and his equal, well what's wrong with that? Why should we be complacent as below always looking upward when we contain the divine spark, of what we can achieve with our drive and our knowledge. You set a roof to our ambition in this story, and that's something i personally don't agree with. Give us our choice. Let us learn and understand. Not being able is one thing, but being able and kept down for no good reason is a terrible thing.

Satan is an all Male entity, and has done nothing for the liberation and freedom of woman. Satan has stolen the womans rightful place. This is what causes homosexuality. Men, standing where they OUGHT NOT!

To me, it's not so much liberation, per se. "Satan", or should I say, "evil", are perceptions that narrow minded people get from FREE THINKING individuals.
The ideological perceptions of Christians are warped by the interpretations of humans with subtle agendas.....they want others to follow their way of thinking, and unfortunately, that's not always what the Bible is alluding to. For example, the Bible in the Old Testament teaches that war is a way to achieve your hearts desire.........the New Testament, on the other hand, teaches that LOVE is the key to happiness. The two actually cancel each other out, so people who are preaching simply use what they want to teach their own ways of thinking..........
BTW.......Who is Stan, or was that a Typo?

some recommend you're! The account of activity shows that devil did not coach his factor. God proved HIS factor by utilising allowing devil to pass forward along with his plan. So devil murdered activity's 10 little ones, whilst God gave activity 10 greater. Who exchange into the evil one? in the e book of Revelation are money owed of devil going forth to the kings of the completed inhabited earth to deceive them and so collect them jointly to conflict against God. If this occurs interior of your lifetime, then you certainly'll see merely how evil devil is. yet once you at the instant are not conscious of his wiley methods, you would be among the deceived.

Listen, I don't know what kind of Christians you hang (or hung) around with, but I find it personally insulting that you continually enjoy painting us all with the same brush. I'm by NO means perfect (and neither are you). However, I do my utmost to live BY the Bible standards, and all of the Christians that I hang around with do too! As a matter of fact, even my UNSAVED friends that I hang around with are kind people as well, and would you mind putting a sock in it, please?
Thank you!
One who really tries her best to follow Jesus.

basic christian belief is that god created man to glorify himself. he could have created man to worship and serve without question, or forced service through fear. but he wanted man to choose to serve.hence free will came into being.(we can relate because we all want to be loved and there are ways to make people if not love us, at least serve our needs but in the end its empty because they haven't chosen to serve us out of love.satan is a symbol of freedom and liberation but a chaotic freedom and liberation.in the garden he offers an alternative to eve ,to be as God ,to be her own God ,to choose to be and do something other than what she was created for.regarding the consequences of her choice in liberating herself from Gods will for her she brought chaos into the world.rather than a symbol of freedom i think he more represents destruction.

No. The "biblical context" shows that we are slaves to sin. That's why our consciences bother us when we've done something that we know is wrong. We've followed our sinful inclination. It is why the Apostle Paul spoke in Romans Chapter 7 of his struggle between the right that he wanted to do but the wrong he actually did.
In addition mankind is enslaved by Satan because thanks for him they are enslaved to superstitious beliefs that cause them to fear a burning hell and dead ancestors.
