i am shy,with him but not other people.i heat up everytime i am talking to him and sometimes will become a bit shaky.i am starting to control myself lately which is working. i don't really talk to him if he doesn't talk to me but if i do i smile and look away and he smiles and maintains strong eye contact but looks away too.am i making it obvious i like him?

No. If there's one thing I learned about guys, it's that they don't get hints. AT ALL. Even what you think is the strongest of hints, they don't get it. I don't know why. You'll have to go an extra step (I'm very shy too and I did this, so I know you can) and start asking him to hang out if you do something with your friends. Maybe make sure one of his friends will be there so that he'll be comfortable. But if you hang out with guys and girls in your group, just start saying things like "Hey, we're all going here after this, if you want to come that would be really cool." or whatever. Then if he shows up, sit by him, walk by him, talk to him. If he drives there, maybe you could even ask if it's ok if you catch a ride with him. "Accidentally" spending extra time with him and giving him extra attention might end up leading to flirting which makes it WAY easier to show your real feelings, for both you and him. Good luck!
