A traveller once came to the mosque to see the prophet. After greeting the prophet he was asked where he was from. The traveller replied that he came from very far just to get a few questions answered. Following is the dialogue
between the traveller and the prophet.
Traveller: I do not want adhaab to be written in my account.
Prophet: behave well with your parents
T:I want to be known amongst people as an intelligent person.
P:fear Allah always.
T:I want to be counted amongst Allah's favourites.
Prophet: recite quran every morning and evening.
Traveller: I want my heart to always be enlightened. (roshan and munawer)
P:never forget death.
T:I never want to be away from Allah's blessing.
P:always treat fellow creatures well.
T:I never want to be harmed by my enemies.
P:always have faith in only Allah.
T:I never want to be humiliated.
P:be careful of your actions.
T:I wish to live long.
P:always do sile rahm.(goodness towards blood relations).

Sounds a lot like Confucius to me...
Anyway, I'm curious how 'having faith in only Allah' prevents harm by your enemies. Could it be that the Muslims being killed in Somalia, Sudan, Afghanistan, Bangladesh, Palestine, Iraq and several other places as we speak do not have faith?
Or just not _enough_ faith?
