Eat nourishing food with plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables being part of it. Chew each morsel at least 32 times. This will activate signal to the brain as soon as u have had enough. Besides this change in eating style, take regular light exercises and brisk walks every day. U will be able to gain/shed all extra weight gracefully and in a reasonable time span. No food or drink in between the food and not more than three meals a day, unless u r diabetic.

I think that teenagers should be focusing more on their habits than what the scale says. Healthy habits developed at that age are more likely to become second nature by the time they hit college (and the dreaded Freshman 15), and to stick with them as adults.

Sadly, with the number of meals catered by McDonald's eaten by teens, there is a lack of knowledge about what one should eat. Schools are increasingly scaling back on gym classes, and teens get out of the habit of regular exercise.

For the most part, teens that do have a couple pounds to lose will lose it if they start eating a balanced diet and get 30 minutes of cardio, 3 times a week. The bonus is that teens who are healthy, but are fretting that they are overweight, will release endorphines while exercising to make them happy - and playing team sports can boost self-esteem.

I think its up to the person! but anorexia may be a way to loose weight fast but its really not healthy for you if you dont eat it can cause lots of problems so i think that girls should just eat healthier and stop eating so much fast food and complaining that there fat or need to loose weight when its there fault unless they have a health problem but i mean its the steps that got them there make better choices! to be healthy you have to sacrifice the junk food and all the things you crave like sweets eat healthy and excersize and live long!

I'm a nurse. I feel that if the girl is truly overweight, this would help her. If the girl is just trying to stay fit, then eating the right foods along with exercise is OK. Take care. Don't over do it to the point you are starting to lose muscle as well, don't starve yourself in the process just eat less.

I believe that dieting at a young age to lose 10-15 pounds is what contributes to obesity

To lose 10-15 pounds I think it's best to exercise because dieting becomes life-long and it screws up your metabolism.

I've heard many women say they started dieting at 15 or say to lose 10 pounds and now at 30 years of age they're 50-70 pounds overweight.
