The koran is a beautiful book and Islam a perfectly good religion ... just as the bible and christianity is ... just as the torah and judihism is.
It's the relgeous fanatics of these faiths that twist the meanings and try to teach hatred that are ugly

Hanieh, you are mistaken, the q'uran was written hundreds of years after muhammad had already DIED and rotted. That's a fact from islamic history.

Fact 2 - Most if not all of those who heard muhammad had died in the war, those remaining alive couldn't possibly remember everything they heard from muhammad because even a regular person cannot memorise today's newspaper from page 1 to the last page.

Fact 3 - Some of the words in the Q'uran has been discovered by archaelogists to be NON-ARABIC, meaning the q'uran has not been written in pure arabic and is a mixture of languages.

So, who wrote the q'uran? Well, the 1st caliph assembled men together to write the book. And that's a fact too. The q'uran was written by the arabs to manipulate weak minds. You're one of them.

Thank you for your question! In the book of Revelation, chapter 22, the Bible states: "And I solemnly declare to everyone who hears the words of prophecy written in this book: If anyone adds anything to what is written here, God will add to that person the plagues described in this book."

Therefore, I believe that Muhammad (perhaps unaware of the warning above), tried to add to what God had already revealed.

In response to your comment:

The qu'ran is so miraculous that it can only be read in Arabic to really understand its full meaning. If it was truly miraculous, then allah would have made it understandable in any language so that more people would know him and his message.

When it comes to the scriptures of Islam, we have a very simple process. Someone asked me after worship once: “Who wrote the Quran?” My answer was Muhammad. Our Bible was written by many people over thousands of years. Even the New Testament was written by many different people over decades. But the Islamic Bible, known as the Quran, was written by one man, Muhammad. To be accurate it was recited by him and actually written down by others.

What do we as Christians think of it? The same as we do all JW writings, not much at all.

first - we do not know if quran has been "protected". even among muslims it's established that quran was made in one form long after Muhammad's death - by order of Uthman. There are many variants of Quran (7, 10 or 14 depending on a scholar) - some changes in reading are not insignificant. We have no means of checking the original manuscript - its not there. The oldest one are not accessible to western scholars. You might want to read this websites:

I believe some being of greater than human intelligence had a part in it, but since it denies the need for a Savior, and denies that Yahoshua has come as a savior of mankind, I am confident that it was not YHVH the Almighty one of Abraham that inspired that book. That means that "Allah" is another name for "Satan". That answer is short, and a bit harsh, but some things can't be made smooth and Politically correct.

I have known God, walked with God and talked with God for 45 years now and i have read the quran. God is not the author of it. The quran is one man teaching about how great he is and about his lust for the things of the flesh and trying to justify his sin nature and even cliaming to be equal or above God to some degree. Muhammad was not humble nor loving he was wicked and God resist such. Please get a bible and read about the prophets of God and his christ and you will be able to understand the difference between the quran and Gods spirit and word.

When dealing with Muslims it is wise to understand some of the approaches used by them to discredit Christianity. Much could be written on each of the following subjects with numerous examples. But, instead, I will simply expound on the areas common among Muslim approaches and point out what to watch for.

because god will never say this
"And if any believe not in Allah and His Messenger, We have prepared, for those who reject Allah, a Blazing Fire!" -Quran 48:13
or this
Quran 4:34: Men are the maintainers of women because Allah has made some of them to excel others and because they spend out of their property; the good women are therefore obedient, guarding the unseen as Allah has guarded; and (as to) those on whose part you fear desertion, admonish them, and leave them alone in their sleeping places and beat them; then if they obey you, do not seek a way against them; surely Allah is High, Great.

theres plently more where that came from

I personally do not believe in the Quran. However, it is a book considered holy by millions and therefore should be respected.
