It seems to me that every time the US
sells weapons and equipment, the country they sell it to is always the enemy. I think Israel should have help, but the nut in Iran is absolutely
INSANE.

Most of what we sell any other country is equipment that we have replaced or are replacing with better gear. But this should be carefully monitored always.

The items we sell are no use to us. We have much better items in place. I do know that for example if we sell Iran an F-16 it goes without our electronis equipment and they need to put there own electronics in that are much inferior to ours. Be like taking a knife to a gun fight. We might as well make some money off all our old things. It is like you having a garage sell getting rid of things you know longer need but at a much larger scale. The media has away to really blow this out of per portion.

Most of this equipment that the US gets rid of are for equipment that is being phased out or replaced and is of no use and is then put on
auction in order to make money and pay down the debt.

the US military sells items through the DRMO to contractors who in turn sell it to other nations. Read the news articles. "Paragraph comprehension" comes into play.

Don't you find it unsettling that our politicians authorize the selling of missiles and rocket launchers to China, while they are trying to discourage the ownership of firearms by the American people?

According to the news article (which you apparently did not bother to read) the US government sold obsolete items as scrap and then the people they were sold to _illegally_ attempted to transfer those items to other countries.
