Chromosomes are present the first day of conception !!!!!!

Genetic factors: Chromosomes play a large part in determining the sexual identity of a child. Normally for humans, the configurations are XX and XY for female and male respectively, but this is not always the case. There can also be chromosomal abnormalities which may result in karyotypes such as XXY, XYY, etc. as well. Some chromosomal abnormalities may have no outward manifestations at birth, but may have internal repercussions; however, some chromosomal abnormalities may affect the genitalia and result in conditions known as intersex.

Some people believe that there is a "gay gene." Although substantial evidence suggests that biological factors contribute to homosexuality, that view may be too simplistic. On the other hand, the genotype of an individual may make his or her sensitivities to various sex hormones different from the sensitivities of other people. One's genetic constitution largely determines how one will react to environmental factors, especially in the womb.

It was an attempt to co-opt the reproductive ability of women, which was regarded as sacred by people of the time. If the ability to create life was what made women holy and the Goddess the primary Deity, then in order to establish a male-dominated religion and culture, it was necessary to sell people on the idea that a male "God" created life, and that women came from men, not the other way around.

That particular creation story has a lot to do with a struggle between a male-dominated religion/society and the other religions and societies of the time and general area. If you're interested in more about that, check my answer to this question:

You are scientifically off, have not fully understood with your premise here, but I do understand the principal you're thinking about and questioning.

The sex of the child is determined by the father. The sexual identity of the developing infant is set at conception. We are not all female until 6-8 weeks, as you state here. We are either male or female at the point of conception. But having said that...

Scientifically, the male "Y" chromosome is not active but rather a passive force. Meaning, this chromosome does not make the boy male but rather it makes the male "less female." This fact is evident when a mother has identical twins of the opposite sex. It is a rare occurrence, and it can only happen when the newly fertilized egg is female.

When the egg splits creating identical twins, rarely, and for some inexplicable reason that is currently unknown, one of the eggs will drop an appendage, or a "leg" if you will, from the "X" chromosome. What results is the double "X" female and an "XY," resulting in identical twins of the opposite sex.

This is proof that the "X" chromosome is the active force in sexual identification. The "Y" chromosome, as stated, simply makes the developing male less female. Thus your premise, that the bible is incorrect in its presumption that the female came from the male is absolutely correct.

Actually this is a good question. God made man in his image, God is neither male nor female he is God and contains all the componets of both male and female. Man was made in Gods image. God took woman out of man. This is a fortelling of God taking the bride of christ out of the side of christ just as he did with the first adam he has done with the second adam. In other words it is a physical witness of a spiritual event to come.

I believe the Bible says that Eve was created from the rib of Adam. I also believe all females after Eve where born.

Depending on the translation, Eve was either made from a rib taken from Adam, or a *side* taken from Adam.

Think about it-- God created man in his own image. God is sexless, neither male nor female.

So, before god took the side from Adam, Adam was sexless as well.

Which means that once the side was taken from Adam (the female side) it created two sexs, male and female.

Only then after that, is everyone born the way we understand it.

Well, think about it for a moment. The Bible has never been proved wrong-in any passage. Now, there are many who do not believe it-but that does not prove error-just opinion. Science has been wrong so many times- I am not so sure we can trust all those "science says" myths.

One of many instances where the Bible is scientifically incorrect. The Bible contains wisdom, but this is yet one more reason why it makes a lousy science text.

Because Christianity is a masculine religion. It was founded by misogynists and it was made during the times when men ran the world and women meant nothing.
