To begin with, I suggest extending the deadline for answers.

Some things I also posted in a question I asked..

- Don't let devices on standby
- Don't let your phone on the charger forever
- Whenever you are not in a room turn the light off
- Changing your light bulbs to energy saving bulbs
- Try to avoid using tumble dryers as much as possible
- Try to share a ride to work
- Take shorter showers (or shower with someone else)
- Don't fill the boiler entirely, only use the amount of water you need
- Try to insulate your house if you can afford it
- Put on an extra sweater and use the heating less
- Recycle
- Use public transport as often as possible

Don't waste things unnecessarily. Only use as much power as you need, get a fuel efficient car and only drive when necessary, carpool if you can. That's all you really can do. The big contributors to global warming are power plants that release CO2, SO2 and NO2, and all of the combined air pollution from vehicles. There's not much you can do about that.

One of the best informative videos I have seen on this issue is Al Gore's 'An Inconvenient Truth'. and at the end it shows what the individual can do.
Small things like recycling, insulating, using energy efficient appliances will go a long way !

Follow the CO2 and don't use these crazy calculations . Go measure it if u measure it going up check your calibration it is possibly in error. I have worked with gases for 40 years and it is oxygen 20.9%
nitrogen 78%
all green house and a Few Minor gases 1.1%
They are as stable as an anvil.

Avoid taking plane for short distances, I think that is the worst polluting thing at an individual level.
