In what? Sewage treatment plant discharge? Primary, secondary or tertiary? They would all be different. Contact the DOE and or EPA.

Each state has their own limitations.

The discharge limits will be determined on the receiving stream.

A recreational water will be more stringent than a non-recreational water.

Sounds like you are talking about potable water...

Contact your local water company and ask them. If they pretend not to know contact your local courthouse and ask - they'll also know which local/state codes are relevant.
