Hello

I recently put-up a question about mumbo jumbo. I am type of person who feeds of knowledge but not the wisdom, as in the wisdom that Christians have. For months now I have been attempting to work out as to what will happen to me in the hereafter, that is at the the time of judgement. I am concerned about my knowledge (I am busy working on 'my thought'). I wanted to find my own faith and I believe that this is possible by exploration and not watching the tv. So I studied religions as far back as Zoroastrianism.Even my mother said that i would not be an ideal christian, not due to igornance but i feel as if mu condemnation is already above my head, my name has been marked not in the book of life so I should be thrown in the sulphur lakes.
I read the bible and try to understand, but I notice its simple language makes it harder to comprenhend. I prefer long essays and endless hymns.

ANy advice!

Your mind and your spirit are 2 different things...and it is ok to feed both of them.

if you want to learn more about christianity and you like to read,..then pick up some literature from a christian book store.. there are many authors that have presented intellectual evaluation of scriptures.

also realize that you have a spirit too.. something that will last after you have died phsycially. you need to feed that too....many of the same books can also feed your spirit. there are also study guides to the bible you can buy at a bookstore. They also have christian music there too you can enjoy.

just because you like to think does not mean you cannot be saved and go to heaven....god gave you your brain...you are just using it....but just remember a relationship with god can start in the mind, but will not be finished until the message reaches your heart.!!!!!

First of all there is no ideal Christian. There isn't a mold you need to fit in. There is ONE thing you need to do; talk to Jesus. Ask Him to come into your heart. You don't have to use fancy words or say the prayer a certain way just talk to Him like you would talk to a friend. You are searching and searching when God has been right here for you all of your life. Their is salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ if you let your heart and mind be open to it. I grew up wondering if God was really for me also. I didn't do as much research as you but I questioned a lot of things. This is okay to do; everyone finds God in their own way and time. But just remember he's always waiting for you.
Here is a simple verse from the bible that can help get you started. Oh and one other thing once you have been born again you will have a new desire to read the bible and things that once did not make sense will. I promise.

"That if you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9

Your mother said you wouldn't make a good Christian? Wow, mom must not have been feeling too well that day. What makes a good Christian is having faith in Jesus Christ. You are right when you speak of judgement on your head. I do not say this easy, but I would not wish that on anyone. If you accept the free gift of salvation from Christ, you are His and will not have this hanging over your head. May I suggest in your search of the Bible that you check out a website at ttb.org for help in understanding the Bible. The Bibles language may seem simple to you but there are spiritual truths you may be missing.

Hi, I hope I have understood your question. You want to know what is going to happen to you after you have died?
Well before we are born we are with God in the pre-existance as spirits, without tangible bodies. When we die we again return to spirit bodies, however, we continue to the spirit world where we continue to live and learn.
As far as you not being a good christian. None of us are good christians. We all stumble daily. Unless you have committed an unforgivable sin you can be worthy to enter into the kingdom of God. I would be happy to answer any more questions you have. You can also check out lds.org and it has some great answers on it.

to find God you must loose your self. You are at an impasse because you see yourself as important and you are not. When and if you learn the nature of the "self" you will find your way.
You are but a made thing with no significance at all except the pleasure of the maker you search for lengthy intricate prose and rhetoric to bolster your belief that you are other than what you are.

there are one of those Christians who do no longer position self belief in a three-individual Godhead. real Christians are strict monotheists. Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are not any further 3 human beings, yet diverse approaches God makes himself commonplace to us.

Well, I am a Christian so I say follow Jesus Christ. Believe in Him and you can have eternal life. There is no amount of sin that cannot be forgiven on the basis of the Blood of Christ.

Eternal Life and where you will spend it is not a cavalier matter. If you are sincere and wish to find the true Church of Christ, that he died for, is the foundation of, and that the gates of Hell will not prevail against, contact me...see my profile.

Why in the world would any mother tell her child that they would not make an ideal Christian? Unless of course she is not one herself. Keep searching and reading. Ask God to guide you. If you truly want to know Him you will find Him

By all standards of the word ''Monotheists'', Christians are not monotheists. There is no G-d but G-d, and Christians say Jesus is G-d, too. So, they accept two gods----------true believers believe in One G-d.

And, your question, I feel, if all made up.
