Only in certain circumstances.
If you've said something that really flipped a light on for - that is, imparted some genuine insight to - somebody who asked a question, then, yes, what you say might matter (especially if they're younger/ still impressionable). But loads of askers are just looking to have their beliefs affirmed, and if you don't do that, then you and your answer just don't matter!

No, unless I swore undying love to someone or that I was to kill someone probably not. In the grand scale of things, very few of us will ever do anything of note that will be remembered in a few generations throughout our whole lives, never mind just on Yahoo! Answers. Nothing wrong with filling in time on here though, doesn't have to be life changing.

I really don't think it will and I also believe that without knowing all the facts from both sides it should not matter today that much.

The real answer is that you have to be careful what you type. once it's on computer, it's there forever & all lawyers love to dig up this crap, particularly if it's incriminating against you. With that said, 99% of what you put down doesn't matter.

Usually no, but in the odd case u can say something that really helps someone and changes their life for the better. For the more serious questions like abusive relationships or loss of a loved one, maybe something u say will truly touch them and help them. You know what they say...........if u touch only one person and help them through a difficult time then it's worth it.

Of course not, but it's the easiest way to say "I was here, I had opinions and feelings, I shared my opinions and feelings with lots of people". A great ego satisfaction isn't it?

Yes I do...
People are always searching for answers and opinions.
And I'm one who likes to see what people have to say. 8-)

maybe it won't matter, but I'll continue to respond like it does because you never know who it will matter to and whose life it could make a difference in ....
