You can report her but chances are slim anything will be done. Report her to an (active) group in your area and while you wait try pasting pics of saluted baby seals, mink farms, a fox after the hound has finished with it. This my (if she has a heart) get to her. I'll see what I can find on the web to help you out.
http://www.furisdead.com/feat-annanicolesmith.asp < this one has a clip of seals being slaughtered, very graphic. Maybe you can email this to you co-worker.

There is absolutely nothing that you can do. Wearing fur is not against the law. No animal rights activist groups can go from workplace to workplace telling people what to do nor do they have the time and money. Wearing sexually suggestive clothing is an entirely different situation.

I am an animal lover myself, but you're way out of line on this one.
Humans have been dressing themselves in the skins of animals since the dawn of recorded time. And no, a sexually suggestive tee shirt, would not be the same thing.
You've made your views known; but what she wears to work is none of your business.
What do you think you're going to accomplish by your ranting and raving? (and believe me, this is how the others around you see it!)
You don't see yourself as an extremest? Look again.

Perhaps your coworker keeps wearing that thing because you keep moaning and groaning over it. Look, don't say anything and in time, your coworker will lose interest in it and stop wearing it.Your outside activities have no place in your job. Take care of those things before or after work,NOT during. You were hired to do some type of work,so work. Also,if somebody wore a a sexually suggestive type of clothing, then it's up to management to address it with that person.

If you don't like fur, then YOU have the right to not wear it. That's where your right ends.
Talking about her fur coat to other co-workers leaves you open to charges of harassment and creating a poisoned work environment, which could get you fired.
Contacting PETA or similar groups could leave you criminally liable for any illegal or violent action their members take against this woman as a result of your information.

You are enforcing your beliefs on somebody else, that is the part that is lacking etiquette and completely inappropriate. The fact of the matter is that if her clothing is not suggestive, containing explicit statements then it is appropriate for work. I am willing to bet that everybody in the office is wearing something derived from an animal whether it is a leather belt or shoes. It is perfectly fine for yourself not to wear fur however it is completely wrong for you to force somebody else into your beliefs.

Tough one...has anyone else expressed the same feelings as you?
If you have a "human resources" dep't ask them. If your company does not have a policy against fur then you probably can't do much about it.
You should voice your displeasure with your boss, and maybe politely talk to your co-worker. Remember, fur isn't illegal, and i'm sure not everyone likes what you wear all the time. Also, don't be a hypocrite..do you wear a leather jacket? eat chicken? eat fish? If yes, then you're just as guilty as she is.

unfortunately that is your personal opinion and unless it is in your company rules not to wear real fur - there is nothing you can do about it. Your company rules probably says to dress appropriately so dressing with "hoochie mama" clothes would not be allowed - but that does not pertain to the fur...sorry I am also an animal lover....compare it to you being VERY religious and trying to make everyone else believe as you do....you just can't do it.

I think that you are probably out of luck. You could ask HR to speak to your colleague about her fur, but I doubt that they would agree to it. Unless she is breaking some explicit dress code, you have no recourse. It is unfortunate that you are so offended by her fur wearing, but that is because of your personal opinion - not everyone is an animal rights activist and not everyone believes that wearing fur is wrong. It is very presumptuous, arrogant and rude of you to make nasty remarks about her personal decision. You have no right to ask her anything. This is completely different from wearing a blouse that is too revealing or a skirt that is too short because it is absolutely personal preference. What to do? Get over yourself and your animals and stop being so self-righteous.

Part of the human experience is to be able to deal with being offended. There is a school of thought that would say she shouldn't wear it as it is offensive to you but another says you should be willing to accept other points of view like fur is acceptable attire. If you are more valuable to the company, they will side with you. Otherwise, you may have to accept it.

I am an animal lover also, but fur is not illegal. There is nothing you can do about it. If you want to call Peta, be my guest, but I don't think they come running to evryone who wears fur. It is not like wearing a shirt that says something offensive.
Get over it
