Serbia's Exit Festival (previously State Of Exit) is the biggest music and cultural event in southern Europe. Including a film festival, theatre festival and art exhibitions as well as an outdoor music festival with eight arenas, the event is all encapsulating and consistently attracts one of the most varied and travelled audiences in the world. The festival works closely with Serbian universities and cultural institutions to help connect Serbia with the west, taking place in the stunning Petrovaradin Fortress on the banks of the River Danube. In addition to this, the event boasts that 600 performances will take place within the multi-venue castle complex, making this one seriously entertainment packed weekend. Basement Jaxx, Pet Shop Boys, Sasha and Iggy Pop have all played in recent years.
