How would you react towards your boyfriend/girlfriend if they send you or read you an extremly cheesy, corny and sappy love poem?!

Just curious, because a friend of mine didn't make a very nice reaction!

Well i would assume that he is trying to be romantic, very few guys are romantic and tell her that if she reacts badly to it then he is going to stop trying to be romantic completely. Maybe he thought she would like it, they are also only human. Put yourself in their shoes (how would you feel if you tried to do something nice, and express yourself and then someone rejected you?).

Hope this helps. Have an awesome day!

It depends on the individual. Many people can not make out what a poem is. Normally individuals are addicted to the music of songs but do not go deep into the lyrics of the song. Hence the taste varies. The same poem if sung in a melodious tune will be pleasing. However, the poem is told from the heart and is meant for very special persons. I wish some one could do it for me.

Just laugh and say "awwwwwwww how sweet" because its come from inside of heart, i will keep the poem no matter if its chessy, corny and sappy. Maybe a friend of your wasnt expect at all. Its normal because your friend didn't know waht to do at the first place so showed the real.

so what if its cheesy and corny? It's a love poem and he wrote it cuz he loves me. That's something to be happy about. But of course i would be slightly embarrased if he read it out in front of a crowd. But who cares.

I would be very flattered no matter how corny it sounded. If it comes from the heart that's all that should matter. My husbands too embarrassed to write things like that because he feels stupid. He doesn't understand how great it would make me feel just because he took the time to try.

Poems aren't for everyone. A lot of people don't understand them and get a little turned off by mushy stuff.

oh my gosh, your friend is cold hearted. I would at least appreciate the thought poems might not be your gift but it's the thought that counts
