I've tried calling all the local animal shelters(they have cats but too old) and i've tried several websites with not much luck either so i've decided i might have more luck buying privately
I asked the same question yesterday but with not much luck, maybe this time i will have more luck, so here it goes.
I have two young female cats who would like a playmate, i'm looking for a 15wk or younger so my cats do not feel threatened by the new one, must be of a suitable distance for a kitten to travel back to chester/liverpool(uk), colour, breed and sex is not important, must be very energetic to match the personalitys of my other cats....kitty heaven awaits them.

you should have asked this in november/december time
as thats when most kittens are ready for homing

i got a rescue cat from cat protection last year as one of my cats past away leaving the other pining
the cat i got was 4 years old not the age you want but my pining cat is 12 years old and after the terotory bit gets on well with him
you didn't say how old your cats are but if they are over 10 year a kitten could be a little too much for them
maybe if you would concider an older cat say between 1 year to 5 years you will be able to judge it's personality as to weather it will get on well with your older two

put an add up at the nearest pet store. and what do you mean the cats are too old? were they deemed unadoptable by the shelter? or did you just want to start fresh with a young animal? either way, i hate it when people stick their noses up to old(er) animals, who cares how old they are so long as they are nice animals? sorry to snap but i have known too many older dogs that were to be euthanized (luckily saved) and end up being sweeter and better behaved than puppies. most people think that in order to get a pet, they have to get a young one -not true- young animals are usually messy, poop everywhere, and destroy anything in their path. (most) older animals dont, so you really dont have to do to much work. yes puppies and kittens are cute and cuddly... but for how long? and while they go through their destructive and errogant stage, well behaved dogs and cats are on death row simply for -being alive-
I would suggest you go back to your shelter, get an older cat.

Have you tried cat rescues? I have gotten all my kittens from private rescue places. It might be hard to find kittens at certain times of the year because most cats tend to have them in the spring.

Regardless of that, I have introduced older cats to my cats and in time, they accept eachother. I do not think age matters.

It could be kinda hard to find a kitten right now because it is not kitten season yet. Give it about two months or so and then check you local newspaper.

Aaw, shelter cats are too old? Poor kitties, I guess they will have to be euthanised.
