My daughter is complaining and I don't know what to do. It started last week. She'd point to her woohoo area and say owie or itchy. Yesterday she woke up with a fever. I thought it was a UTI because several times she jumped up, say owie, take off her training paints and put on new ones. So we sent to the Dr. and the test shows it's not a UTI. She took a short bath this morning and got out complaining of a owie in her woohoo area. There's no visible signs of irritation.

The fever has the morning broken and she has no voice so that might be a separate issue.

Have you had this happen to your child and if so, what did you do to resolve it?

NONE OF THESE ANSWERS ARE UNIQUE. IT ENDED UP THAT SHE WAS FIGURING OUT HOW TO CONTROL HER BM's AND HER OTHER SYMPTOMS ARE A COLD/FLU VIRUS

I would take her back to the doctor, it could be a type of infection or something as simple as the pullups irritating. My son was highly allergic to the pullups. He was allergic to the obsorbant stuff in it. The rashes and pain were not visible for a while but he kept complaining and I kept taking him to the doctor. They found nothing wrong and thought I was crazy, then one day he started having real bad rashes and they would not go away, this went on for a couple months and finely, I was told by a doctor he probably has an allergy to the pull ups. It was Huggies brand that we used most of the time, but when I started trying the different brands, he would have reactions to those to. My son is special needs and we were able to get pull ups through a med supply store and that resolved the problem, but he started out much like this, complaining about something that seemed to not even be there. So I would talk to the doctor.

She might have a kidney infection! You need to give her lots of water, and back her away from any soda or juice until she is all better!! I would not use any monistat on her though!! You can also take her to the doctor again and have them run different test! Children don't get their bladders empty all the way, so that is why this happens, bacteria builds up. Good luck :}

It could be a yeast infection. You can use a 7 day OTC cream (Monistat) on her vulva (not inside!). Just apply it with a cotton pad nightly before bed.

Avoid giving her baths - give her showers instead. (Detachable shower heads are sooooo helpful when you have a little one!)

Good luck! I hope the poor wee one is feeling better soon!

fever is a sign of an infection somewhere in your child's body. go to another doctor for a second or even a third opinion to put
you and the baby at ease.

If it is a not a uti maybe she has a yeast infection, that would cause the itchiness. OR maybe she is sensitive to the type of soap or bubble bath being used.
