Try giving her a small amount of food and water. If she vomits again, then off to the vet. This could be pancreatitis. My dog got it last fall and she did the same this. They had to put her on IV food/fluids until they could get her pancreas to behave. After that she was on special food for a week (and some meds) but she is all better now. This isn't that rare of a disease and its totally treatable. However if you ignore it...it is fatal as well.
However your dog may have gotten into something that you didn't notice (like grass last night when she went out to potty). Or...if she had a lot of rawhide treats, that can also lead to vomiting. As long as the vomit isn't bloody (you would know that immediately because it looks and smells like runny poop) and your dog is now acting normally, then this was probably nothing more than a swallowed hair or bit of toy. But...if she vomits again after feeding/drinking; then it is something that requires medical attention. You can always give the vet a call and tell them what happened. They will most likely tell you to do the above...see if she vomits again and then take her in if she does. Good luck and I hope she starts feeling better soon.

For the time being if the dog is ok I would just call the vet. They may tell you to wait and see how he feels. Try to examine the dof all over and see if there are any physical symptoms you may have missed... example: any swelling or sores on his body etc. and then let the vet know if you find anything else wrong
Good luck

I would definitely at least call your vet. They can recommend whether or not you should bring your dog in.
Last week our puppy swallowed a cigarette (NOT good--nicotine is really toxic to dogs). She had diarrhea then started throwing up again and again. We called the vet, and he told us to make sure she stays hydrated. Keep giving her water, and if she's not keeping water down, to try ice chips. Also, he said we could get her a little pepto bismol. We put a little on a teaspoon and let her lick it off. The pepto bismol seemed to help.
Good luck! Hope your dog is ok.

Call and talk to a vet. If this raises your cocern, then the BEST person to ask this to is the vet. The vet will tell you what to watch for, what home treatment to administor, or if the signs are bad enough to bring the dog in.
I know that when I call my vet with concerns they ask for the signs, symptoms and about other things. Based on that they tell me what to do, they don't always tell you to bring your dog in but they do know how to handle most situations. Good Luck.

My dog does that sometimes... has she ate since?Call the doc to make sure she hasn't got bit by a spider or other insect. She could just have a bug. to keep her hydrated mix some food with some gatorade. But I would call a vet to ease your mind.

Iwould say yes take ur dog to the Vet! My dog did this not too long ago and it turned out he had a possible stomach infection. they gave him an IV which kept him from dehydrating.I was told dogs have a natural bacteria in their stomachs and sometimes they overgrow.

she must have gotten something. Has the vomiting stopped? Does she seem ok otherwise? Offer aq lot of water, light food & see what happens, if it happens again, I would take her to the vet
