My friend and I are going travelling round Australia and are planning on working. It will be between April and August, is it easy enough to find work for both of us. xx

Yeah there is heaps of work around aust at the moment. I'm from melbourne and the espy in st.kilda for example, is always looking for bar staff as are many other local bars and pubs. If you are going to western aust, there is heaps of hospitality work at the moment avaliable and also mining jobs with really good money. I've also just been back from the gold coast and there is heaps of retail and bar work avaliable up there - almost every shop is looking for staff! I'm sure you guys will be fine. Have fun travelling x x

You will need a Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate to do bar work in NSW and, I think, in some other States. The RSA is a short course. If you are working in a pub with poker machines there is a responsible gaming certificate as well that you will need before you can touch the machines.

Once you have the certificate, there is plenty of bar work around.

Yeah it's pretty easy to find bar work in Australia, there are always plenty of jobs in that kind of field, just make sure you have the correct visa which will allow you to work while your in Australia.
