I know that you would be able to melt the cheese, but could the sandwich get crispy in a glass pan?

I always make my grilled cheese in the oven. Glass or medal it wouldn't matter. Spread butter on bread top with cheese and another piece of butter bread. Bake 375 oven when browned turn over and brown the other side. Yummy Yes it is crispy.

Well you wouldn't be able to use glass under direct flame on the stove top. But if you put it in the oven, maybe on broil, it would get crispy. It wouldn't taste the same though.

If you do it in the oven. Most glass pans will break if you put them on direct heat such as the stove top.

i would put the oven on 'broil" so the bread gets browned, and flip the sandwich over after a few minutes to get both sides.
