It can depend on which side you have the pain.

Left sided and center pain can be acid reflux, hiatel hernia. Acid Reflux or LPR can present with or without heartburn.

Center pain and right sided pain can be acid reflux or gallbladder. Gallbladder symptoms include full feeling with gas or indigestion, center or right side pain (can rarely present with left side pain) that lasts from 30 minutes to 3-4 hours.

Could also be IBS (irritable bowel syndrome). I have a friend who has severe pain and gas with her IBS "episodes".

If the pain and gas are a common occurance (everyone has a problem once in a while), you should see a doctor to pinpoint the cause. They will do an exam, maybe order some tests, and will tell you the reason for these symptoms.

Good Luck!

I think you have acidity with gas trouble. If it is not acidity then it is due to gas trouble. Both cause swelling over intestines and inflame the related nerve on its' back side. If acidity is there the nerve on sides gets inflamed. Both cause pain, may be continuous or intermittant. No test can tell anything.
If acidity is there avoid spicy foods and alcohole especially. Stale food and late sleeping is also bad. Use sweet foods, fruits, salads, sprouts and milk.
If constipation is there treat it with green vegitables and salads. Eating without hunger, overeating, bad habits and no exercise is its' reason. Use citrus fruits for breakfast.

when u eat, foods combine in your stomach that can sometimes cause severe gas and bloating due to their mixture inside of You. Some foods are just more gas-producing than others. Like cabbage, eggs, pork, fried, greasy &/or spicy foods. Get some fiber in Ya. Like, eat a big salad every other day for duration of pains to push-out the gas. I use GAS-X brand gas relief & TUMS brand antacids. There are many out there including acid relievers, fiber increasers like FIBER SURE that come in powder form and dissolve in any food or drink ( if You can't rough Your roughage!). BEANO is a small pill to be taken before meals to help disspell the gas. I have had trouble with Gas and indigestion for all My life. I found that I (as are 95% of human population) lactose intolerant. Look for Lactace in foods to counter act Lactose, & really limit Your intake of Dairy producs, especially on an empty stomach. But if You are a Woman aged 25 or over, You may need to take a calcium supplement to replace calcium lost due to cut backs on dairy. TUMS provide tons of calcium, that's how I get mine, I need them anyway for the indigestion, so it works out great. Stay away from these foods: sausage(s), red sauces, red meat (only in moderation, as cutting-out all red meat is illadvisadble), cabbage, eggs, pop, coffee, cheese, Milk, yougart, and creams. Like I said, You may need a suppliment to do this, as this cuts out foods expected to cause good health. GREEN LEAFY VEGGIES, WHOLE GRAINS (LIKE WHOLE-GRAIN WHEAT BREAD, LONG-GRAIN RICE, OR ANY FOOD(S) CONTAINING WHOLE GRAINS WILL HELP. If You go to the DR., They can give You prescriptions to help also. If You can afford it , go to a nutritonist, then the Dr. if still having difficulties. A nutritionist can help You more than a DR. in this way. Hope this helps!!! (Unless severe, then Doc first.) It seems like an intestinal quandary, possibly a few style of blockage. If I had been you I could no longer take a laxative till I had noticeable a healthcare professional and except it has totally long gone away I could certainly see a healthcare professional. Sure seems like plenty greater than gasoline.
