Pop-Tarts are a flat rectangular toaster pastry approximately 3 in (75 mm) by 4.5 in (115 mm), made by the Kellogg Company. Pop-Tarts have a sugary filling sealed inside two layers of rectangular, thin pastry crust; each layer of this crust is about 0.1 in (2 mm) thick. Most varieties have frosting, but some do not. They can be eaten without being warmed, but are often warmed inside a toaster, or microwave oven.

The most disgusting use of pastry you could ever eat. It tastes like fruit flavored cardboard, that only tastes slightly better when you put it in the toaster and heat it up. Some have frosting on them, which doesn't really make them taste any better. Some mom's throw them at their kids as they're running out the door to go to school, 'cause their kids didn't eat breakfast, thinking that at least they're eating SOMETHING before school. Yuckeeee! <*)))><

It's an American quick breakfest food and snack ... a hard pastry crust with a fruit filling usually popped in a toaster. I think Pillsbury or Kellogs owns the brand name.
