Truth means to tell what is in your heart that you know is not
false. Children lie because they are taught to lie. They watch
their parents and when they see their parent tell an untruth then,
they think its ok. Children learn by example. Imaginations are not
untruths, they are wishful thinking.

What you have been plan or dream of are just your imaginations and some of them could be true when they really happened in realistic life. your imagenary world should be false because it yet to happen, it is just a roughly thinking that you are having.. In fact, in this world there are too many things which appear as dashes. We hardly find whether they are true or false. the most significant is that accept the truth where the statement is positive. Therefore, you have imagination because you got determination.

The best example I can share with you if what your " ? " is...
How to get someone to stop lying ( because they are saying what their imaginations or the " I was just kidding " line).
Tell them the story of Peter and the WOLF. Explain how when people get so used to you lying ( tricking, fooling, using your imagination) that when You really do tell the TRUTH no one will believe you and the consequences can be FATAL!

That which stands the test of time.
That which was true yesterday, is true today, and will be true in the future.
I know this is a subject of debate in the intellectual world, but those of us who were born seven decades ago, had no problem knowing what was truth.
