More data please. These general questions are killing me.
I can speculate but it would be impossible to give good advice if you do not at least give some examples.

This is probably because the "Drama Queen" has lost her "Drama King"! Search yourself... you put up with it for 4 long years and you miss it?
Don't mistake drama for electricity, it sounds like that's what you've done. Find some spark in this new guy, it's there...maybe you're out dating too soon after your break up. Give yourself a chance.

Maybe it is to soon to be in another relationship. Some time by yourself with your child might be all you need at this point.Review in your mind what your life goals are for you and your child.Dose this new friend fit what you are looking for in a man? Will he make a good father for your child? Is he responsible enough to take on an instant family? And most of all do you want to share the rest of your life with him?

because you had the misconception that if those few things were dif then you would be HAPPY-Whoops! Doesn't usually work that way-you have to make yourself happy first then the perfect man is like icing on the cake(no other person can be the cake...)

ok, it says you and your ex are over. and you have a new one.
and now your new friend does things that you thought you wanted, but now you dont want.
then just say to your friend-- you dont like what is happening. and that you dont want this anymore. be honest, be yourself. end it if you are not happy. take time to enjoy yourself and your baby by yourself. its ok to be by yourself. your baby will grow up fast and soon will be a teenager, enjoy your baby now.

Sounds like you had your heart set on the first guy and was deeply in love with him, and regret that he put you through the crap... but this guy reminds you what you miss and what you should have had...

No maybe it is because you were younger then and thought that you knew what you wanted or what was important but now that you are older you realize that what you thought was important isn't.
