No, I'm sure there are worse religions in the world then Christianity. After all, it must be so horrible to believe in a religion that actually does want peace. How horrible!

No. Christianity has build more hospitals, contributed to more medical discoveries, runs more orphanges and retirement homes, contributes more to disaster relief (remember that both Salvation Army and Red Cross are Christian in their origin), provides more free schooling, helps more people in need of food. clothing, shelter, etc. then any other organization in the world.
Were it not for the Christian faith, slavery would be see legal throughout the world. Were it not for Christianity, schools would not exist (they founded the education systems and colleges). Yale, Havard and Princeton were all Christian colleges when they began.
Were it not for the Christian faith, and Christian ministers like ML King Jr, the civil rights movement could not have succeeded. Were it not for the Christian faith, child abuse would not be illegal. It was the Christian church would fought for such laws.
Were it not for the Christian faith, you would not enjoy the rights and freedoms that you have as an American. They come directly out of the Protestant (Christian) belief that every man has rights before God and within his society.
Thank God that the Christian faith exist. In the 20th century several countries (USSR, China, North Korea, North Vietnam, Cuba) attempted to ban the Christian (and other) faith. The results was the extermination of over 208 million people by those countries in a 70 year period. Compare that the the "worst" year the Christian faith ever had (the 9 million Chrisitans, Jews and Muslims killed in the Crusade during the 11th century) and the non-Christians get a 23 to 1 kill ratio victory or the worst the Christian faith as ever done.

What a question to ask. Someone sound bitter. What the matter did a prayer of your not get answered? If you take all religions you could find something bad about all of them. However what seperates Christianity apart from all other religions? Well I'll tell you.... Christianity is the ONLY religion where GOD came to earth in human form and died for his children. No other religion can come close to that

why is believing that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for our sins the most horrible thing in the world?
Religion is all about faith. A person can have faith alone. But when a group of people have the same faith and follow the same God and same laws and same traditions, they join together in worship, song and community and they have a religion. There is nothing wrong with religion. It's merely a community of the same belief. I believe and follow Jesus and no one can stop me and I never will stop. It's my faith, my religion, my life, my purpose. If Christianity is horrible then you are saying all Jesus believers are horrible people and you are taking on millions and millions of people. Plus there are over 2000 denominations of Chrisitianity. Which ones are you actually referring to? Or are you just bashing Jesus Himself?

No, I think it has done a lot of good in the world (even though I'm an atheist). It's just a small minority of Christians (and Muslims and other extremists in religion) have taken their holy book too far and gone on to do destructive things with it, all in the pursuit of God and all that.
But no, I don't agree with your question/statement.

Considering the History of the Catholic Church and all the Christian religions that have branched out from it with the struggles for power and money, and all the scandals, its got to be up there among the top. It's certainly a religion that doesn't practice what it preaches.

Nah - I think you'd have to put some of those tribal religions that believe in cannibalism ahead of Christianity on the horrible list.

I would not say that but the problem for me is igorance, even Christians say that Christianity is the faith and not a religion. Look at me if I lived in egypt in 1300bc I would be an atenist, If i Lived in 600BC in persia I would be a zoroastrian, if I lived in 300Ad I would be a manichaen and if i lived in 500ad I would be a mazdakis.
People have different ideas and beliefs and I would prefer to say 'let them be'. I would not taken much real interest of them because I am too busy and why waste time on debating when I am too busy learning and building up knowledge.

Christianity gave rise to whatever freedom and technology the world has. As well as the concept of forgiveness. So it is the best "religion".
It is also the only wholly truthful "religion".
And yes, it is truly a relationship with Jesus to the believers and a "religion" to unbelievers.

actually, it fairly is the muse of Christianity, Islam, and Judaism that are evil. All every person has to do is study the Bible, the Torah, and the Q'uran to verify this. The Abrahamic cults sell hatred, intolerance, misogyny, homicide, and genocide. Christianity, Judaism and Islam are dying cults. Take a speedy seem on the information approximately Jehovah and Jesus. in case you study the previous testomony, the wide-unfold subject of Gods forgiveness is that something ought to die to establish that him to forgive human beings of their sins. If human beings sin, then they must be positioned to dying. there's a protracted custom of animal and human sacrifice in the process the O.T. that steadily decreases because of the fact the society of the Hebrews turns into greater good. those sacrifices end with the purely spectacular sacrifice of Christ. we could not confuse the previous testomony term "sacrifice" with the in demand which potential. Sacrifice potential "to kill something of cost as a present day to God" to establish that God to forgive mans collective sins, Jesus had to die. the only prophesy that Christ made that has come genuine is that human beings could kill one yet another, inclusive of their family members, in his call. additionally, evaluate that Christians seem forward to the day that Jehovah will wreck the worldwide and kill very just about all and sundry on the planet. those are the guidelines of the Christian cult. all of it starts with Moses and his murderous invisible buddy. -SD-
